Last year I doug out the 3 metre hole at the front of the house. Previously it housed several plants and an ivy that grew up the front of the house. Although this looked nice it was starting to go into the roof and potentially cause a problem. The ivy and other plants were removed, leaving us a hole!
Having concreted the hole the year after the rubbish truck (the following day) drove over it and cracked it. This year my battle with the rubbish truck has lead me to re-concreting the hole. On top of the neat concrete I have put a sand and concrete mix and pushed into it BIG pebbles. In the middle of this I have put a BIG planter.
The planter has got the following plants;
Hydrangea
Clematis ‘Harlow Carr’
Clematis ‘Rosemoor’’
Felicia (Variegated)
We will see what happens!
